Nineteen Seventy-Seven (1,2022) (2022)

This non-objective abstract painting was started outside on my porch. I used acrylic paints and painted in the gestural abstract expressionism style. When the air temperature reached 105F, I was forced to move inside and finished the painting using acrylic pens and small brushes. I have also switched from a gestural to a figurative painting style, influenced by the 45th anniversary and my inner needs.
